GOD'S LOVE DID IT

GOD'S LOVE DID IT
by M.G. Bueno

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Here, is the most quoted verse in the Bible. It speaks of the Love of God for the whole world, through his Son Jesus Christ. It shows us that in God there is no selfishness. This verse speaks of God’s grace and liberality to all of his creation and especially man whom he created in his own image.

We are what we are, only because God has shed his love and grace upon us, and that’s to both Christians and non-Christians alike. You are breathing because of the grace of God. The love of God for man is so amazing that it boggles the human mind. This love did not originate from this world nor from any human heart. It is a love that only comes from above. God’s love was willing to descend to this corrupt world that we’re living in, so that we may be raised up into heaven where God resides. That same love is God, because the Bible said, that God is love.  The love of God for man is so vast that it can be seen everywhere, yet God who is invisible made it all. The natural beauty of this world itself speaks of the love of God to each and everyone of us. When he created the sun, the moon, and the stars, it was because of his love for us. When God created all of the wonderful things of the world, the animals, the trees, the seasons, God had us in his mind. God created it all because he loves you and I. And even David in the book of Psalms made the declaration,

Psa 8:4 What is man, that you are mindful of him? and the son of man, that you visit him?
Psa 8:5 For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned him with glory and honour.
Psa 8:6 You made him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; you have put all things under his feet:

Everything that God made with his hands, he made it for man to have rule and dominion over it. That’s the kind of love that God has for man. And the bible tells us that God was not only mindful for man, or just thinking about man, but he proved his love to man by visiting with him.  God visits us whom he loved.  Why? God is making sure that his relationship with us will flourish.  So God visits us, to show us that he loves us. And some of us who go to church, even before you came to that service, maybe you were thinking that you were going to visit God in the the church service, but in reality God is visiting you, and meeting with you when you go to church. It was God who spoke to your heart to come to that service, and you didn’t even know it. It’s because God wants to visit with you.  And God visits us perhaps through some miracle that happen in our life. Or maybe in the stillness of the night, you feel the presence of God’s love. Or perhaps when someone invites you to church, or through the preaching of God’s word. And not only does God thinks of us but he does something besides thinking about us, he speaks to us and deals with out hearts.  So, our relationship with God should not not just stop in our mind, we have to do something about it, in order to keep our relationship with him. God is faithful of his relationship with us, but how about our relationship with him. Do you maintain your relationship with God and your service to him.

The Bible said.

Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Serving God is not doing what we want to do for ourselves. But it is doing what God wants according to his word.  His word says that you present your bodies a living sacrifice. And he said, your bodies ought to be holy, or set apart for God’s use or instrument. And it has to be acceptable, not to you but to God. And if you do this, it would be received by God as your reasonable service unto him.

The word Serve in the Webster’s Dictionary means
1. to comply with; to submit to.
2. To be employed in labor or other business for another.
3. To be in subjection.
5. To perform duties, as in the army, navy or in any office.

When you are employed, you are employed to serve the company who hired you. You don’t go to work and just do whatever you want, but you go to work to do your service to that company according to what it requires of you to do. The company that you serve has guidelines for you to follow.  And we serve God according to what he requires of us in his word.  Sometimes people are more faithful serving an employer than serving God. People serve their employer everyday, but they can’t even go to church when they have all the chance in the world to go to church. A church service that is not eight hours a day, five days a week.  Yet people think it’s too much to do. But are you really serving God when you’re more faithful to your employer than God?

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Serving God is serving him according to his word and his requirements.  To serve him is not grievous or a burden, in fact believing and serving God is rest, it’s joy, and peace that passes all understanding.  It’s that kind of peace that’s going to be their even when you're in the midst of troubles and trials and disappointments. It’s a kind of peace that stays with you when you have money or don’t have money, when things are going right or when things are going wrong. Serving God is a peaceful and a restful experience, why? Because of his Love. And his love has been proven over and over again, not only because he said it, not only because he thought about it, but because he did it.  The scripture did not say, For God so loved the world that he thought, but, For God so loved the world that he gave. God did something about his love towards us. And when God gives, he gives us his best. He gave his only begotten to Son to become a sacrifice for us on the cross to wash us of our sins by his blood. That’s the amazing love of God.

Because while we were yet sinners, and in rebellion against him, while we were yet enemies with him, and on our way to hell, he sent his only Son to die for me that I may be rescued, that I may be salvaged from sin and make me a member of his family.

There’s no selfishness in God as man tend to be selfish and do his own thing and tries to exalt himself and tries to put himself first.  Jesus became poor that we may become rich. Jesus died that we may have eternal life. He descended into hell that we may ascend into heaven. And while on the cross he kept loving even to those who crucified him, he said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Why because Jesus is Grace and Truth personified.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

It doesn’t matter how deep you are in sin, Jesus is here to save you.  The reason why he shed his blood on the cross for the whole world is to save man from the death of sin. And his blood will not only forgive you of your sins, but is also powerful to remove your sins and your desires to sin. His blood is able to cleanse your conscience from guilt and give you a conciensce that is clean and that desire to serve God. So that serving God is no longer a burden.  You must be born again. The Bible said, if anyman be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things pass away, behold all things are become new.  If you want to be right with God, all you need to do is repent and be born again. If you want to serve God the right way, you need to be regenerated in your soul. If you want the old self to pass away, and live the new you, then ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart, and make the changes for the better in your life. And allow him to direct you in all your ways by his word and thru the Holy Ghost.
